The FL-Line TV Transmitter The FL-Line TV transmitter was designed in the mid 60's. The exciter was completely solid state up to the 20 Watt level. Aural modulation was accomplished in the exciter by directly applying audio to variable capacitance diodes. Visual modulation took place directly at the grids of the visual intermediate power amplifier. A single power amplifier tube followed the VIPA stage. An aural driver tube amplified the exciter output sufficient to drive the single tube output stage. The first unit, a TT-15FL, was shipped in September 1969. The last unit, a TT-50FL, was shipped out in July 1982. Configurations of FL-Line transmitters are: TT-15FL TT-25FL TT-30FL TT-45FL TT-50FL
